The Mini Miss K

Our best girl had her 6th Grade Graduation ceremony this week!

My one and only niece is a Jesus-loving, courageous, athletic, funny, creative, fiercely competitive, popular, kindhearted, intuitive, feisty, smart, fashionable, decisive, beautiful, resilient, effervescent, one-of-a-kind sparkling gem of a person!  She's good at reading the room and has a gift for planning fun things and bringing people together, much like Chettles.  I adore her, and I am confident she will continue to shine and grow as life moves forward. ❤

She wanted it to be fun surprise for us that she (as newly-elected 7th Grade Chaplain) got to lead the Scripture reading and prayer... it definitely was!!  This = one of my infamous prayer pics, but it had to be done! lol

Walking the stage!  (And in less than 10 days, Triston will do the same for his Senior graduation, both happening during Josh Bullard's final year as CHA Headmaster!!)

The Jaceman surprised us choosing the purple suit last year, but it was perfect for him.  And Kyndal Faith surprised us going with a plain navy dress over something glittery, but she rocked it along with her sparkly boots and headband, and it was perfect too - I just love them both!!  It's so fun to watch them grow and learn and change!

Class of 2032 group pic! Fun fact: Much like myself, her school years move right along with the numbers... 7th grade in 2027, 8th in 2028, etc.  My 6th grade graduation was 1996, 7th grade in 1997, and so on.  So Lord willing, she'll walk that CHA stage as a Senior exactly 30 years after me!! =)

Coach Nikki came to celebrate Kyn and Aniston - she's the best!  The middle pic = Talon, Storey, Colin, Kyndal, and Ellery (four of her very favorite people in her class, to my knowledge, so I was happy to capture that moment).  And the bottom is a pic with her teachers!

Throwback to J's Graduation last year!  They've decided to call it a Promotion Ceremony instead of Graduation (whatever on that, but we don't love change)... and they put it oddly early in the year and moved it from a 6pm night event to a 1pm event I had to take off work for... worth it, but an annoying move on CHA's part!

Having said that, this change DID give me the extra time to write a card, order a last-minute cookiecake, and grab some perfume and lip gloss at the Sooner Mall for Kyndal before family dinner!!

For short notice, they did good on the cookiecake!

Family pic after our traditional spaghetti dinner (Kyndal's consistent favorite, even if the rest of us prefer more variety).   This was also T-man's last night before the Senior trip to Boston, so it was a fun dinner talking about all of the above!

Mother's Day 2025!

Happy Mother's Day to Mom and Rachael, and to ALL the moms and mother-figures I know and love and value... it is not a short list!! ❤

The Mini Miss K made Rach this lovely board for Mother's Day!!  Love it and love her!

This has been a major year in my personal life, full of big goals and hard conversations and big emotions and looming transitions, and I'm so grateful for Mom's love and support through it all!! ❤

I've been listening to Ocean's 13 as I blog tonight.  I adore the scene where the 3-minute countdown starts and everyone in the casino is hitting jackpots and winning loads of money - so fun!!  Crazy that it was released way back in 2007 - I had this pic on my bulletin board for years. lol

Do I have some deeper thoughts on Mother's Day?  Of course I do.  Do I feel the need to focus on my feelings and unmet desires on a day that's meant to honor and celebrate the wonderful mothers who are making a difference in the world?  Not so much.  I'm confident in God's timing and love, and I'm grateful for all the Moms who have helped shape my life and for all the amazing kids I have the privilege of loving and supporting!

Four Years of Sunshine

Happy 4th Birthday to my Mini-BFF, Princess Parker!! ❤

Today marks four years of sparkles, strong opinions, Disney princess movies, the cutest laugh, and the one-of-a-kind magic that is Miss Parker Elizabeth!  Gah, the cuteness of this pic is entirely too much!  ❤

Her mom and dad didn't find out the gender ahead of time, so getting this bow pic was a memorable and happy surprise that called for loads of pink hearts! lol  From the moment she arrived earlier than expected, Parker has brought color and joy to every room she enters.  The world is truly brighter with her in it!! ❤

As a close friend of the Wilson fam, I have loved watching her grow and seeing her personality develop!  Lately, it makes my day when her eyes light up with excitement and she screams "Lindsey!!" running to hug me when I come over!  She has a fun energy and I love that she does everything wholeheartedly - including the full range of emotions and sweet hugs!

She is a wonderful combo of playful and silly, opinionated and passionate, sensitive and bold.  She feels things deeply, and (much like her dad) her face is very expressive, which means you rarely have to wonder what’s on her heart!

I love that she knows what she wants and how to speak up for it, and she can be entertainingly sassy and strong willed -- not easily swayed into changing her mind!  She also has a kind and caring heart - it's the whole recipe for a wonderful leader down the road!!

She has two incredible parents who have poured love and guidance into her life, along with exceptional grandparents who delight in her and a big brother who is already her protector and sidekick.  With that kind of supportive crew behind her, there's no limit to where she’ll go!  #worldscutestshootingstar

Parker Elizabeth, thanks for being my friend and Facetime buddie and honorary niece, and thanks for posing for so many pics with and for me. ;-)  You are a sparkling ray of sunshine in a world that needs more light - keep shining!  You are beautiful inside and out, and I'm grateful for all the pure JOY you bring to the world!  I love and adore you, and I'm here to cheer for and support you however I can as you continue to grow. ❤

God made you very special, and I hope you always get super excited about your birthday, because YOU are worth celebrating big!  I hope this birthday and your much-anticipated Belle party this weekend are all you've been dreaming of -- full of chocolate, candy, ice cream cake, mo-mos (tomatoes), Ranch dressing, bouncy houses, Disney princesses, heels and hair crowns, laughter, fun presents, great friends and family, and everything you love most!!  (And honestly, I hope you continue to feel the safety and freedom to be sad and cry and side-eye the cake if you need to, even at your very own amazing party.)  You are a delight, and I'm excited to see the good things God has in store for you!

Eighteen

Happy 18th Birthday to my oldest nephew, Triston Michael! ❤  In some ways, it feels surprising that we’re already here!  In others, it feels like he’s been an adult for a while now.  He's resilient, intelligent, and mature for his age, and I'm confident he has a bright future ahead of him!!

This post will be 18 pics/collages as a tribute for this milestone birthday marking official adulthood.  (Above is our 12-15-24 dinner at Tucker's to celebrate him being on Christmas Break and my last day of class!)

We first met back in 2010 when Josh and Rachael started dating -- he was 3 and Carter was 2.  This = him looking through the kid's Bible I got him + an adorable LifeChurch lobby pic + them coming to see me and visit the Jenks Aquarium!

He's the oldest sibling on both sides of his family, and he's always been an awesome big brother (to Carter, Jace, Kyndal, Mason, Bryson, and Emberlee)!
